Meteghan RCMP Detachment investigating hit and run causing serious injuries

Meteghan RCMP Detachment is investigating a hit and run, resulting in serious injuries, that occurred in Church Point.

On January 27, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Meteghan RCMP Detachment, fire and EHS responded to a report of collision involving an ATV and a pickup truck on Patrice Rd. Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers learned that a Black 2016 Can-Am Outlander was traveling on the road when it was struck by a Black GMC Sierra.

Following the collision, the Black GMC Sierra quickly fled the scene driving onto a neighboring property in doing so.

The rider of the ATV, a 49-year-old Church Point man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.

At this time, investigator believe that the GMC Sierra may be an extended cab model.
