Police lay charges in break and enter

Police have charged two people in relation to two break and enters that occurred in Halifax this month.

On December 11, at approximately 4:35 a.m. officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a business in the 1700 block of Lower Water Street. As officers arrived on scene, two people ran from the business. After a brief foot pursuit officers arrested the two suspects.

Officers were able to identify the two suspects in custody as the persons responsible for a second break and enter at the same business that had been reported on December 4.

Ibrahim Alnaasan, 22, and a 16-year-old youth were scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court yesterday to face charges of:

  • Mischief (property damage) (x2)
  • Possession of break tools (x2)
  • Break and enter (x2)
