RCMP Police Dog Services locates missing man
On November 26 just before 11 p.m., Kings District RCMP received a call that an 85-year-old man was missing from a Kings County home near the New Minas area.
RCMP officers, including the Police Dog Services (PDS) unit, reported to the home and began to search along with Valley and West Hants Ground Search and Rescue teams.
The PDS team tracked the missing man approximately 4 km through fields and wooded area and located him safe in the woods.
The RCMP would like to thank Valley and West Hants Ground Search and Rescue for their help bringing this search to a successful conclusion.
