New Glasgow Regional Police investigating armed robbery.

New Glasgow Regional Police is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in New Glasgow.

On November 3, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police officers responded to a robbery at the Needs Convenience Store East River Road and Marsh Street, New Glasgow.

During the preliminary investigation, a man had entered the store with a weapon, assaulted a worker and barricaded the worker in the walk in freezer and immediately fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man, is described as a male wearing a black hoodie, black pants black face covering black gloves and also wearing black sneakers trimmed with white.

The worker was transported to the Aberdeen Hospital by Emergency Health Services with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
