Lunenburg District RCMP investigating serious crash
Lunenburg District RCMP is investigating a serious crash that occurred on Hwy. 3 in Mahone Bay.
On November 2, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 3 in Mahone Bay. RCMP officers learned that a pickup truck had been travelling on Hwy. 3 when the truck left the travelled portion of the road and collided with a guardrail, coming to rest in the road.
The driver, and sole occupant, of the pickup truck, a 57-year-old Chester Basin man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by Lifeflight.
The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Striking Pedestrian in Truro

At approximately 6 p.m. last evening, the Truro Police Service responded to a call of a car striking a pedestrian at the intersection of McClures Mills Rd and Abenaki Rd in Truro.
When officers arrived on the scene, it was determined that this incident was intentional, and the driver of the vehicle purposely struck the male victim and fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle is a black GMC Terrain with Nova Scotia license HCH 125. The suspect is described as a male with a slender build and multiple facial tattoos.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
