Road Closure – Queen Street
Location: Queen Street between Spring Garden Road and Doyle Street
Date: Wednesday, November 1
Time: 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Work details: This closure is to facilitate a crane lift for a roof replacement.
Traffic impact: Queen Street will be fully closed while work is underway. The sidewalk on the west side of Queen Street will also be closed. A marked detour will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Almon Street
Location: Almon Street between Isleville Street and Gottingen Street
Date: Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5
Time: 8 a.m. on Saturday, until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Work details: This closure is to facilitate the safe trenching and maneuvering of equipment servicing for a new development at 2811 Isleville.
Traffic impact: The street will be closed on Saturday and Sunday while work is underway. A detour will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Millwood Drive
Location: Millwood Drive, between Jackladder Drive and Larrigan Drive
Date: Tuesday, October 31 to Friday, November 3rd
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: This work is to facilitate sidewalk repair, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: There will be a one lane closure with a stop-and-go traffic control set up at the intersections.

Road Closure – St. Margarets Bay Road
Location: St. Margarets Bay Road, Timberlea Village Parkway, and Lakeview Drive
Date: Saturday, October 28, 2023
Time: 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Work details: This closure is to facilitate the installation of new and removal of old of underground service laterals for Civic 1831, which supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: St. Margarets Bay Road, between the Timberlea Village Parkway and Lakeview Drive, will be closed while work is underway. Local Traffic only will be permitted on St. Margarets Bay Road for residences and businesses on either side of Civic 1831 between Lakeside and the Timberlea Village Parkway. Halifax Transit buses will be detoured through Brunello Estates via Maple Grove Drive and Lakeview Drive. Local Traffic only will be permitted to access Brunello Estates from either Maple Grove Drive or Lakeview Drive, as well. All other Traffic will be detoured between Exit 2 and Exit 3 of Highway 103. The North side sidewalk of St. Margarets Bay Road located at the 1831 St. Margarets Bay Road work site will be closed for the duration of the construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to the south side and via a protected pathway. Signage will be in place to direct motorists and pedestrians around the work site. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
