NS SPCA Adoptable Highlight – Ashley

Ashley is a sweet senior kitty ready to make her adoption debut

Ashley came to the shelter when her owner passed away, and as shelter life can be stressful to some cats, she is enjoying life in a wonderful fosters home and will be available to adopt from their home.

This is what her foster had to say about this sweet girl:

Ashley is a quiet cat who needs a quiet adult only home as she is not used to children and can be nervous of loud noises.

She prefers to be on the ground level instead of up high on things. It may because she does have degenerative joint disease (DJD) and possibly IVDD (Disc disease) Ashley is on pain medication (given orally twice daily), it is not her favorite thing but she will need it long-term to help keep her comfortable.

Will need a low-sided litter box as it is much more comfortable getting in.

She enjoys sleeping on the bed with someone, but if it she gets overwhelmed or nervous, she likes having a safe spot like a hidey house to call her own or even under your bed as a safe space to go when she is feeling overwhelmed.

If you are interested in meeting Ashley, please fill out the adoption application at the link below:

Staff from the Dartmouth SPCA will be in touch to set up a meeting at her foster home.
