Traffic Delay – Hammonds Plains Road
Location: Hammonds Plains Road, from Yankeetown Road to Ellard Lane
Date: Thursday, Oct. 5 to Thursday, Oct. 19
Time: Weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (no weekend work)
Work details: This work is related to repairing washout damage.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Agricola Street
Location: Agricola Street, between Willow and Charles streets
Date: Wednesday, October 4
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Work Details: This work is to facilitation film production.
Traffic Impact: Traffic control personnel will be on site to hold traffic for a few minutes at a time while scenes are being filmed. Traffic will be released between takes. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Road Closures – Downtown Halifax
Location: Sackville, South Park, Queen, South, Summer, Gottingen and Brunswick streets, Spring Garden and Bell roads, University and Ahern avenues, Rainnie Drive
Date: Sunday, October 1
Time: 11 a.m.-noon
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the CIBC Run for the Cure.
Traffic impact: The five-kilometre route will start on Sackville Street, head south on South Park Street, east on Spring Garden Road, south on Queen Street, west on South Street, north on South Park Street, west on University Avenue, north on Summer Street, turn south-east on Bell Road, north on Ahern Avenue, to Rainnie Drive via Citadel accesses, turn east on Rainnie Drive and Gottingen Street, south on Brunswick Street, west on Sackville Street, north-west on Bell Road to finish.
The one-kilometre route will start on Sackville Street, head south on South Park Street, then east on Spring Garden Road, turning before Dresden Row, north via South Park Street to Bell Road to finish.
This event will operate as a rolling closure, controlled by Halifax Regional Police. Motorists should expect delays and use alternative routes.

Traffic Delay – Beaver Bank Road
Location: Beaverbank Road, from Majestic Avenue to Pinehaven Drive
Date: Saturday, Sept. 30
Time: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Work details: This work includes asphalt repair in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111 (Windsor Street Exchange), Halifax
Construction on the structure over Mackintosh Street is underway and will continue through October. Traffic control is on-site.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Salt Springs Brook Bridge, Trunk 7
Salt Springs Brook Bridge on Trunk 7, about four kilometres south of the Town of Antigonish, is reduced to one lane until further notice for repairs.
Temporary traffic signals are in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trunk 4, Antigonish
Trunk 4 between James and Church streets is closed, except to local traffic, until October 19 for construction of a roundabout.
Detour signs are in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Donaldson Bridge, French River
Donaldson Bridge on Lake Road, about three kilometres west of Tatamagouche, is closed until further notice.
The detours are on Trout Brook Road and Cooper Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until October 31 for work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice because of a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fountain Road, South Middleboro
Fountain Road, between Hunter Road and Simmonds Road, is closed until October 31 for removal and replacement of the Howard Bridge.
Traffic will be detoured from Fountain Road via Simmonds Road and Keers Mill Road.
Vehicles more than four metres wide need to plan an alternate route because of the width of structures on the detour route.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 16, Lincolnville
Trunk 16, from 0.2 kilometres north of the Old Monastery Road northerly to 1.4 kilometres north of the Lincolnville Loop, has alternating lane closures for paving and brush cutting until October 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford / Lower Sackville
Highway 102 from Exit 4A to Exit 4C has lane reductions and intermittent road closures in both directions for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 interchange, until October 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until December.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105, Big Marsh Road
Highway 105 from Big Marsh Road easterly for five kilometres is reduced to one lane for surfacing work until October 31.
Traffic control will be on-site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104 and Highway 106, Alma
Highway 104 at Exit 22 to Exit 2 on Highway 106 is reduced to one lane for paving until October 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Trunk 4, Broadway
Trunk 4 between civic numbers 10421 and 10470 is closed for culvert replacement until October 14.
The detour is via Highway 104 between Exit 27 at Sutherland River and Exit 29 at Kenzieville.

Highway 104, at St. Peters Railway overpass, is reduced to one lane for repairs until October 14.

Highway 104, from Whiteside to Louisdale, is reduced to one lane for surfacing work until October 31.

Trunk 3, from Evelyn Richardson Memorial Elementary School to 350 metres west of Pas Lane, will have alternating lane closures for roadwork until October 7.

Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30, easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until October 7.

Route 308, from Indian Sluice Bridge to the wharf on Morris Island, is reduced to one lane for road repairs until October 31.
