Tropical Storm Franklin forecast to enter the Canadian Hurricane Centre (CHC) response zone pm-Wednesday, Aug 30th as a Category 2 Hurricane.
Franklin forecast to become the 1st Major Hurricane (Category 3) Tuesday, Aug 29th
???? The storm is thus expected to become a hurricane on the weekend and reach it’s highest intensity early next week at close to or possibly reaching major hurricane status
???? By late Tuesday or Wednesday it should begin to weaken as it accelerates northeastward over colder water
???? Most of the numerical track models suggest the centre of the storm will remain south of Nova Scotia but what remains in question this Friday morning is how close it will come
???? Some models bring in an area of rain well in advance of the actual storm which is typical with these types of systems
???? By Thursday morning all models have the storm well east of Nova Scotia
