Tropical Storm Franklin forecast to enter the Canadian Hurricane Centre (CHC) response zone pm-Tuesday, Aug 29th as a Category 2 Hurricane.

Key Messages from ECCC_CHC:

???? Franklin is expected to gradually intensify as it moves northeast tonight and Friday then towards the north by early Saturday

???? The storm will likely become a hurricane over the weekend and enter our response zone early next week

???? As the storm enters our response zone another turn back towards the northeast is expected which would bring the storm towards Atlantic Canada

???? A sharper turn would result in Franklin staying offshore while a more gradual turn would allow the centre reach closer to land or even make landfall towards mid week next week

???? Although still early to solidify any specific impacts, interests in the southern Maritimes and Newfoundland and Labrador should continue to pay close attention to the evolution of the storm over the coming days
