Residents invited to Clam Harbour Beach Sandcastle Competition
The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to participate in the 43rd annual Clam Harbour Beach Sandcastle Competition, taking place on Sunday, August 13.
Park gates will open at 9 a.m., and the event will proceed rain or shine.
This annual sandcastle and sand sculpturing contest attracts over 10,000 people every year to the Eastern Shore region. Cash prizes will be awarded in all sandcastle and sand sculpture categories.
Residents can expect fun for the whole family during the event. First Aid personnel and provincial lifeguards will be on site, and residents are reminded to bring water and sunscreen while they take in spectacular sandcastle creations. Cash-only food vendors will also be on site.
This event is presented by the municipality and the Province of Nova Scotia.
