Several traffic violations identified during checkstops

Nova Scotia RCMP’s Northwest Traffic Services, which serves Pictou, Colchester and Cumberland Counties, conducted several traffic check points between July 10 and 15.

Police served one 24-hr suspension and laid more than 50 charges under the Motor Vehicle Act and Cannabis Control Acts. RCMP officers also served motorists with 46 warnings for various offenses including speeding and not having children in proper restraint systems (booster seats).
