Missing Person Case Added to Rewards Program
——————————
The Province and the RCMP are asking for the public’s help to solve the missing person case of Jessie Morrissey.
Mr. Morrissey, who was 26 years old when he disappeared, was last seen travelling in a dark-coloured Jeep Patriot in the Springhill area the evening of February 13, 2022, and was reported missing the next day. The vehicle was found abandoned on a local snowmobile trail.
“We hope that by adding Mr. Morrissey’s name to the rewards program we will receive new information that could help this case,” said Brad Johns, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. “A family is waiting and hoping for answers. I urge you to come forward if you think you have information that might help solve this missing person case.”
Investigators believe there are people who have information not yet offered to police that could result in locating Mr. Morrissey.
Anyone who shares information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Mr. Morrissey’s disappearance could receive up to $150,000 through the Province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program. People with information should call the program at 1-888-710-9090, or if they prefer to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers of Nova Scotia at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
