How do you say thank you to firefighters? With puppy snuggles of course!
We are always amazed by the bravery and courage firefighters show our community. Seeing their dedication during the wildfires took our appreciation to a whole new level.
They tirelessly fought fires AND worked closely with our SPCA Enforcement Officers. With their support, we were able to rescue 183 pets and help reunite loving families. Hammonds Plains Volunteer Firefighters Society also generously donated * $6,000 (update) to the SPCA Paws & Support Program to care for more than 200 pets and help families who lost their homes or were displaced.
Because of this, foster puppies were very eager to meet and cuddle the firefighters at Station 50. The firefighters helped to socialize the puppies and the pups provided a de-stressor session for the firefighters. ???? A true win-win!
Please join us in thanking all the firefighters and first responders for keeping our communities safe.
