First celebrated in 2011, the National Animal Rights Day is a growing global movement to give a voice to all animals and raise awareness for their rights (anyone else think of the Lorax?)

We’re celebrating the progress that is being made towards ending the suffering of animals — like Canada’s 2019 legislative ban on keeping cetaceans in captivity. This bill banned the capture, trade, and captive breeding of cetaceans while acknowledging and allowing for the response and rehabilitation of cetaceans.

MARS is proud to be a part of this movement through our day-to-day work! Want to learn more about what we do? Check out our website!
