You don’t have to look far to find new construction in HRM. And with new construction comes tall cranes.

Highrise training includes multiple vital techniques, including how to move water in taller and taller buildings and any type of highrise rescue, from medical to mechanical failure.

During this training, crews were put to hands on training early on. Familiarizing on some gear and learning on newer techniques keeps both fire crews and victims safe.

Training never ends for first responders, including volunteer SAR. Being able to react organically allows safer results as individual and teamwork results in greater success!
