Antigonish County District RCMP investigating fatal crash
Antigonish County District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Taylors Rd. in Pomquet.
On June 11, 2023, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Antigonish County District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Taylors Rd. in Pomquet. RCMP officers learned that a motorcycle had been travelling on Taylors Rd. when it left the road, struck a power pole and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver, and sole rider, a 22-year-old Antigonish man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Taylors Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
