Kings District RCMP investigating threat to Acadia University
Kings District RCMP is investigating a threat to Acadia University for the fall of 2023.
On June 6, 2023, Kings District RCMP received a report of a threat of a possible shooting at Acadia University. The threat was received in an email by Acadia University Safety and Security and, based on initial investigation, the information concerning the threat was being circulated on a social media platform. The threat indicated that a shooting would occur at Acadia University in the fall of 2023.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and Kings District RCMP is working collaboratively with Acaadia University Safety and Security with regard to safety planning. To date, the threat has not been corroborated or verified.
