MISSING CHILD UPDATE
Uodate: The search for Dylan Ehler is continuing.
The Truro Police Service can confirm that two (2) boots belonging to Dylan were located last evening in the water of Lepper Brook.
Dylan’s family was notified of this development and have since shared this information on social media.
This morning, Colchester Ground Search and Rescue was relieved by the Halifax Ground Search and Rescue team. The Provincial Dive Team is now onsite and concentrating their efforts on the waterways near the Salmon River.
Truro Police can confirm that the search is continuing to focus on a waterway near the last know sighting of Dylan.
The Department of Natural Resources air support is continuing to provide support.
Truro Police can confirm at this time, foul play does not appear to be a factor in Dylan’s disappearance, therefore, an Amber Alert has not been issued.
We would like to thank the public and the business community for all of their support as the search continues.
While the Truro Police appreciates everyone who wishes to volunteer, the Ground Search and Rescue team has all of the appropriate equipment and support required at this time. Having civilians onsite could potentially lead to the destruction of evidence or tracks.

The Department of Natural resources air support is back on scene this morning and awaiting the arrival of the provincial dive team to assist.
Truro Police can confirm at this time, foul play does not appear to be a factor in Dylan’s disappearance,

UPDATE-MISSING CHILD
The Truro Police report that the search for 3 year old, Dylan, is still ongoing.
Dylan was reported missing to
the Truro Police Service on the afternoon of May 6, 2020.
The Truro Police Service, Truro Fire Service, Ground Search and Rescue, EMO and air support from the
Department of Natural Resources are now concentrating their search efforts near the waterway of the Salmon River.
The search team continues to be hopeful and will continue their search throughout the night.
Dylan, 3 years old, was wearing a jacket, with a faux fur hood, camouflage pants, and rubber boots at the
time of his disappearance. He was last seen near Queen and Elizabeth Street in Truro.
