Police lay charges in break and enter

Police have charged two people in relation to a break and enter that occurred in Bedford on the weekend.

On May 7 at approximately 4:30 a.m. officers responded to a break and enter at the Munchies convenience store located at 873 Bedford Highway. The suspects broke into the store, stole merchandise and then fled the area.

At approximately 5 p.m. the same day, a vehicle believed to be connected with the suspects was located parked in the 100 block of Prospect Road in Halifax. Officers arrested the four occupants and seized two replica firearms and property taken from the business. Two of the passengers were later released without charges.

Two men, ages 18 and 20, are scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of:

  • Break and enter
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
  • Mischief (property damage)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.
