Recall: In certain situations, a power sliding door on some 2022-2023 Kia Carnival vehicles may not stop and reverse if it’s blocked, creating the risk of injury.

Issue:
In certain situations, the power sliding door may not stop and reverse if it is blocked.
Safety Risk:
A power sliding door that doesn’t stop when it is blocked could pinch a person and create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Kia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to update the power sliding door control module software. The update will add two (2) warning chimes when the power sliding door begins to open or close, and change the door speed to move more slowly before the door latches.
