In regards to the earlier messaging for the 111 Highway closure in Dartmouth, both directions are fully re-opened.
Police onscene for a traffic collison / Highway closed – Dartmouth
9:30 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on the 111 Highway at exit 5 regarding a single vehicle that collided with a traffic standard. The traffic standard fell across the highway prior to the car striking the median barrier and coming to rest. There are no significant injuries to the occupants.
Police are onscene and the 111 Highway outbound towards the Mackay Bridge is closed with traffic being diverted down to the 118 Highway / Woodland Road Extension.
Traffic inbound on the 111 Highway is reduced to 1 lane. Motorists are asked to slow down in the area and exercise caution as multiple emergency crews are onscene.
Police will advise once re opened.
