Update: Halifax District RCMP arrest man in relation to threats
Halifax District RCMP has arrested a man in relation to an altercation that occurred in Hubbards.
Yesterday, at approximately 1 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon that occurred near Shore Club Rd. in Hubbards.
Through the investigation, officers learned that just prior to the assault, the victim, a 41-year-old man, had been in a verbal altercation with a youth and a woman regarding elver fishing. And during that altercation, the man had threatened the youth and woman.
At approximately 11:50 p.m. last evening, the man attended the Lower Sackville RCMP detachment where he was safely arrested by officers and later released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on June 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. to face a charge of Uttering Threats.
