Special weather statement in effect

Snow and wind are possible Monday night and Tuesday.

Total snowfall: 5 to 15 cm, possibly more.

Locations: Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, including Halifax Metro.

Maximum wind gusts: 50 km/h except 70 km/h along the immediate coast.

Time span: early Monday evening until Tuesday afternoon.

Remarks: There is a considerable amount of uncertainty in total snowfall accumulation with this developing weather system. There is potential for snowfall amounts considerably higher than currently expected, and for the Tuesday morning commute to be affected by winter road conditions. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts, especially the 4 PM forecast this afternoon as warnings may be issued.
