RCMP investigates fatal residential fire in Granville Ferry
Shortly before 1 a.m. this morning, Annapolis District RCMP, EHS and fire services responded to a residential fire in Granville Ferry.
When RCMP officers arrived at the scene, an apartment, located above a garage, was engulfed in flames. The remains of an adult were located inside the home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation; the investigation is being led by Annapolis District RCMP, with assistance from the Office of the Fire Marshal, the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service and the Forensic Identification Section of the RCMP.
