Police investigate 2 robberies
Police are investigating 2 robberies that occurred in Halifax last night. .
On January 24th at approximately 5:30 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a robbery that just occurred at the Sobeys located at 2651 Windsor St in Halifax.
A man entered the Smoke shop, threatened that he had a weapon and demanded money and cigarettes. The man then fled the store on foot after collecting the money.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’ 2” tall, medium build wearing a black mask. The suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, with the hood up and carrying a black back pack and black handbag.
On January 24th at approximately 7:45 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a robbery that just occurred at the Chebucto Grocery located at 6330 Chebucto Rd. in Halifax.
A man entered the store and demanded money, cigarettes and lottery tickets and threatened that he had a weapon. The man then fled the store on foot after collecting the money and lottery tickets.
The suspect, a white male was wearing a white face mask, black jacket, black pants, dark sneakers and black toque. The suspect was carrying a green re-usable bag.
No member of the public or staff were injured during these incidents.
The investigations are ongoing and Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
