Traffic Delay – Cowie Hill Road
Location: 166 Cowie Hill Road, Halifax
Date: Monday, November 14
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: The work is for natural gas service installation.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway, with one lane of traffic maintained. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Quinpool Road
Location: Quinpool Road from Oxford to Preston streets
Date: Wednesday, November 9
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is for the installation of natural gas services.
Traffic Impact: Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times for the duration of the work. Traffic control personnel will be on site to coordinate pedestrian traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Road Construction – Glendale Drive
Location: Glendale Drive, from Cobequid Road to Chandler Drive
Date: Wednesday, November 9
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is related to road maintenance. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Tower Road
Location: Tower Road, at the intersection with Harbourview Drive
Date: Tuesday, November 8
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Work details: This work is related to pavement renewal. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Wyse Road
Location: Wyse Road, between Symonds Street and Boland Road
Date: Monday, November 7 until Monday, November 21
Time: Closed for 24 hours a day
Work details: This work is to support underground upgrades to stormwater and wastewater infrastructure.
Traffic impact: Wyse Road, between Symonds Street and Boland Road, will be closed while work is underway. A signed detour route will be in place. Local access to the excavation limits will be maintained, with traffic control personnel on site to assist vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic. Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to take alternative routes where possible.

Road Closure – Waverley Road
Location: Waverley Road, between 404 and 420 Waverley Road
Date: Saturday, November 5 to Sunday, November 6 and Saturday, November 12 to Sunday, November 13
Time: 5 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday each weekend (the road will remain closed overnight)
Work details: This work is to support service connections and the reinstatement of Waverley Road, as part of the Port Wallace development.
Traffic impact: Waverley Road, between 404 and 420 Waverly Road, will be closed while work is underway. Local access will be maintained. The sidewalk will also be closed during this work. Vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be redirected at Montague Road (southbound) and Breeze Drive (northbound). Detour signage and traffic control personal will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Night Time Road Construction – Windmill Road
Location: Windmill Road, from Akerley Boulevard to Victoria Road
Date: Sunday, Nov. 6
Time: 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning.

Traffic Delays – Joseph Howe Drive
Location: Joseph Howe Drive, between Bayers Road and Scot Street
Date: Saturday, November 5
Time: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the completion of underground infrastructure and asphalt patching.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. The sidewalk on the east side (adjacent to 3411 Joseph Howe Drive) will remain closed, and the sidewalk on the west side of Joseph Howe Drive will remain open, during this work. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Herring Cove Road
Location: Herring Cove Road at Aldergrove Drive
Date: Monday, November 7 to Wednesday, November 9
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
Work details: The work is for gas main installation. Further questions should be sent to Eastward Energy at 902-466-2003.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway, with one lane of traffic maintained in both directions. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Brickton Bridge, Brickton
Brickton Bridge on Mount Hanley Road will be closed for repairs until Friday, December 16.
A detour is in place.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Phinney Mill Bridge, Wilmot
Phinney Mill Bridge on Todd Branch Road will be closed to all traffic for repairs to the deck through Thursday, November 10, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.
A detour is available on Old Mill Road and Route 201.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, James River
Highway 104, westbound lane about one kilometre west of James River Interchange, Exit 30, is reduced to one lane for about one kilometre.
Twinning work continues until 2023.
Signs are in place and drivers are encouraged to use caution.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Burnett Bridge, Pine Grove
Burnett Bridge, over McLean Brook on Route 224 in Pine Grove, is closed until further notice.
Detour signs and a 30-tonne weight restriction are in place. All other trucks are to follow the posted truck route. The detour is via Saint Andrews River Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until Wednesday, November 9, due to work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Apple River Bridge
Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, will be closed until further notice due to structural damage.
Signs and detour are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 344 (Main Street), Mulgrave
Route 344/Main Street traffic is being re-routed onto the newly installed detour bridge.
The entrance to Mill Street from Main Street is closed, and drivers should use an alternate route. Signs are in place.
The detour will remain in place until mid-November.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, will have lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive will have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30, 2023.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions will occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp will be closed until September 2023.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Dunmore Road, Dunmore
Dunmore Road, from one kilometre east of Trunk 19 easterly for 6.3 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for gravelling until Wednesday, November 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: East River West Side Road, Eureka
The section between 6280 East River West Side Road and Churchville Road is closed until Wednesday, November 30 for the replacement of the Eureka Mills Bridge.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Westville Road, New Glasgow
Westville Road at Highway 104 is closed nightly, Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Work continues until Wednesday, November 30. A detour will be in place and drivers should proceed with caution.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Jordan Falls
Highway 103, about 100 metres west of Exit 24, has alternating lane closures for rehabilitation work on Jordan Falls Bridge until Wednesday, November 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105
Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30 easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for road work until Wednesday, November 30.
