**** NS SPCA Release
Our hearts are breaking seeing the damage and devastation from Hurricane Fiona. But in tough times like these, it is inspiring to see our community come together. ???? Thank you to everyone who is working long days and even longer nights to bring comfort and safety to families.
We are grateful that no shelter pets or team members were injured during the storm. While we cope with the aftermath, animal lovers have reached out asking how they can support recovery efforts. ???? We’ve created a list below and would appreciate anything you can do to help.

Donate – The power is out in half of our SPCA shelters throughout Nova Scotia. Without electricity and running water, we’ve lost food and medicine. Some shelters and hospitals need major repairs like roofs. But most importantly, we need to get animals out of the dark. ???? You can help us stock up on supplies and invest in equipment so we can be self-sufficient during disasters. Donate today here: www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/75459 ⬅
Adopt – Adoption is a rewarding experience that comes with long-term love and responsibility. If you’re ready, check out www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptions to meet your new best friend. ???? Right now, some shelters are working with limited power and are closed for visits, but we will still happily process adoptions.

We’re here for you. We’ll get through this together.
