(Update) Police investigating report of school bus struck by object – Halifax

Update: Officers found no evidence to suggest that someone had thrown or directed an object at the bus. The bus has a jagged two-inch oval-shaped hole near the roof on the driver’s side. At this time, the cause of the damage to the bus remains undetermined.

Police are investigating a report of a school bus struck by an unknown object this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. police received a report that a school bus had been struck by an unknown object while travelling in the area of Hilden Drive and Herring Cove Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. There were no students on board the bus at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

The investigation is in the early stages and police are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact police or anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or via the P3 Tips App.
