Police Investigate Armed Robbery.

On September 11, 2022 at 2:20 am Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Needs Convenience located at 33 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.

It was reported that a suspect entered the store, produced a black handgun, demanding money.  An undisclosed amount of cash was taken along with a quantity of cigarettes.  The suspect fled the store traveling on foot westbound on Osborne Drive.

Police Patrol and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspect has not yet been located.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Staff described the suspect as a white man in his thirties, facial hair,  wearing a light colored hoodie, black shorts, two toned ball cap with a logo, black sneakers and white socks.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
