Police charge two people for break and enter

Police have charged two people in relation to a break and enter that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. police responded to a break and enter in-progress at the Rona store at 6055 Almon Street. Two men broke into the business, stole merchandise and then fled the area on foot. Officers arrested the suspects in a vehicle a short distance away.

Shawn Jarvis Hirtle, 46, and Adam Levin, 34, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and mischief.

Levin is also facing two counts of failing to obey a court order.
