Police identify driver in vehicle-cyclist collision

Police have identified the driver in a vehicle-cyclist collision that occurred in Halifax last week.

On June 23 at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Oxford Street for the report of a collision between a motorist and a cyclist. The driver stopped briefly before leaving the area prior to police arrival. The cyclist, a 14-year-old youth, was transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

On June 24 police requested the public assistance in identifying the driver of the vehicle. The driver contacted police that day and the investigation is ongoing.
