Police investigate weapons complaint​

Police are investigating a weapons complaint that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

On June 14 at approximately 1:30 a.m. police responded to a weapons call on Tamarack Drive where a woman had been sprayed with a sensory irritant. The victim had arranged to purchase an item from a Facebook Marketplace seller, but the suspect did not provide the item and sprayed the sensory irritant into her vehicle. The victim was treated on scene by EHS for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 40-years-old, 5’7” to 5’9” tall with a heavy build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a baseball hat, shorts and a black and red Reebok hooded sweatshirt.
