Nova Scotia Human Trafficking Unit charge man with sexual offences

The Nova Scotia Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) has charged a man with sexual offences, some relating to underage female youths, after a months-long investigation in Kentville.

On February 7, 2022, the Nova Scotia HTU received a report of a 40-year-old man trying to obtain sexual services from two female youths. The man was communicating with the female youths electronically. As investigators continued to gather information and evidence, it was determined that the man had purchased sexual services from a woman and had attempted to purchase sexual services from another woman.

On May 2, investigators with HTU and Kings District RCMP, arrested the man on Cornwallis St. in Kentville. The man was transported to the New Minas Detachment and held in custody.

Bradley Lloyd Clarke, 40, of Kentville, has been charged with the following:

  • Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration (3 counts);
  • Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration from Person Under 18 Years (2 counts);
  • Luring a Child (2 counts);
  • Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order.

Clarke has been remanded into custody and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court today.
