Blank Ammunition Being Used for Training at HMC Dockyard
Members of the public who live in, visit or transit through Downtown Halifax and Dartmouth should be advised that Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) soldiers and sailors will be conducting training this weekend in Halifax Harbour using small arms weapons which will include some blank ammunition firing at HMC Dockyard on Sunday, April 24 between 8:00 and 10:30 a.m.
This training is part of Exercise MAROON TRIUMPH, an exercise being conducted with soldiers and sailors of the 5th Canadian Division of the Canadian Army and Maritime Forces Atlantic to develop operating procedures for joint operations.
All Canadian Armed Forces exercises are planned, conducted and managed in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with National Defence policies and standards.
