Death Ruled a Homicide, Victim Identified
The shooting death that occurred on April 16, 2022 in the 2400 block of Brunswick Street in Halifax has been ruled a homicide.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy yesterday and has ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Simon Joseph Morrison from Halifax. Our thoughts are with Simon’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Police do not believe this was a random incident.
The investigation is being led by homicide investigators from the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and police are asking anyone with information to call police at 902-490-5020.
