**** Truro Police Release
At approximately 4 am Sunday March 6th, Truro Police Service received a call about an assault at a residence on James St. in Truro.
As a result of the investigation, Malique Olowu 18 years old of James St. in Truro, has been arrested for several offences, including assault, uttering threats, mischief, assault causing bodily harm, and firearms related offences.
A warrant was obtained to search the apartment leading police to find a 9mm handgun with ammunition, a bullet proof vest, cocaine, and a large amount of cash.
Mr. Olowu has been remanded to appear in Truro Provincial Court this morning.
This matter remains under investigation and more charges are expected.
