Nova Scotia Health urges unobstructed hospital access for patients, health care workers,
during planned protests
Nova Scotia Health is aware of protest events planned across the province over the next few days, specifically on Saturday, Feb. 12.
The protests are expected to involve large trucks and other vehicles and will result in increased traffic on streets, roads and highways in several communities.
Nova Scotia Health is working with our partners at Emergency Health Services (EHS), the RCMP and local police to reduce the possibility of access to our facilities being disrupted.
We hope these protests will be peaceful and respectful and remind all participants to allow clear access to hospitals for paramedics, patients and health care workers. The health and safety of all Nova Scotians needs to remain a priority for everyone.
