RCMP charged a man in relation to drug trafficking and proceeds of crime

The RCMP/HRP Criminal Investigation Division Guns and Gangs Unit, assisted by the Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, has charged a man in relation to drug trafficking and proceeds of crime after executing a search warrant at a home in Cole Harbour.

On January 31, 2022, police began an investigation after receiving information that a 50-year-old Cole Harbour man was trafficking cocaine.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on February 9, police located the man and arrested him for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. During a search of the man incidental to his arrest, police found cocaine and cash. The man was transported to cells and held overnight.

Following the arrest, police executed a search warrant at a home on Sherwood St. in Cole Harbour. During the search police seized cocaine, digital scales and packaging material.

Patrice Jean Noel, 50, of Cole Harbour has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Production of a Substance, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Laundering Proceeds of Crime. Noel was remanded into custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today for a bail hearing.
