Police charge two people following search warrant

Police have charged two people with weapons related offences in relation to a search warrant conducted in Halifax.

On January 6, investigators in the Guns and Gangs Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team and West Division Patrol, searched an address on Claymore Avenue in relation to an ongoing investigation. Officers arrested a man and woman, seized a loaded firearm, conductive energy weapon and ammunition.

A Natasha Irene Lee White, 26, was released to appear in court at a later date to face charges of:

  • 86(1) CC – Careless use of firearm
  • 86(2) CC – Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
  • 88 CC -​ Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • 91(1) CC – Unauthorized possession of a firearms
  • 91(2) CC – Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
  • 92(1) CC – Possession of firearm knowing it is unauthorized
  • 92(2) CC – Possession of a prohibited device knowing​ it is unauthorized​ ​
  • 95 CC – Possession of a restricted firearm with ammo

Codie Kenneth Bruce Horne, 26, will appear in court today to face the charges of:

  • S.86(1) CC – Careless use of a firearm
  • S.86(2) CC – Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
  • S.88 CC – Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • S.91(1) CC – Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • S. 91(2) CC – Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
  • S.92(1) CC – Possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized
  • S. 92(2) CC – Possession of a​ prohibited device knowing​ it is unauthorized​ ​
  • S.95 CC – Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
  • S.117.01(1) CC – Possession of weapons contrary to a prohibition order x 2
  • 145(5)(a) – Breach of release order
