Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Just before 7 P.M. on December 23rd, 2021, Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Needs Cnvenience located at 6130 Chebucto Road, Halifax.

It was reported that the suspect entered and produced a silver handgun demanding cigarettes and money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken along with a quantity of cigarettes.​ The suspect fled the store traveling on foot southbound on Windsor Street.

Police Patrol and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspect has not yet been located.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Staff described the suspect as a Caucasian man, 5’7″, average build, wearing a black jacket with white trim, black toque, black face mask, plaid pants and black shoes.

Shortly after 1 A.M. this morning on December 24th, 2021, Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Subway located at 5669 Spring Garden Road, Halifax.

It was reported that the suspect entered and indicated he had a weapon demanding money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspect fled the store traveling on foot Eastbound on Spring Garden Road.

Police Patrol and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspect has not yet been located.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Staff described the suspect as a white man, 5’7″ tall, thin, wearing all black coat with silver reflective near bottom and having a tattoo above right eye.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
