Special weather statement in effect

Potentially significant rainfall is expected early in the week.
Total rainfall: 30 to 70 mm.
Locations: Most of mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island.
Time span: starting in the morning on Monday in western Nova Scotia and spreading eastward throughout the day. Rain is expected to taper off early on Tuesday.
Remarks: There is still some uncertainty with regards to the track of this system, but current guidance would indicate widespread 30 to 40 mm with the potential for localized higher amounts. Rainfall warnings may be issued with subsequent forecasts.
