Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax Saturday morning.

At approximately 4:40 a.m. police responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Needs Convenience Store at 33 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.​

The lone suspect entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded the clerk give him cigarettes.​ The suspect is described as a white man 40-45 years old, 5’8-5’10 and at the time he was wearing grey pants and a grey, white and black sweater and medical mask. The clerk was not injured.​ The suspect left the area in a vehicle and was last seen in the 200-300 block of Herring Cove Road, Halifax.​

The Investigation is in the early stages, anyone with information about the incident or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
