RCMP investigate after serious collision
Halifax District RCMP is investigating a serious collision on Hwy. 3, St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. in Lewis Lake.
At 10 a.m. yesterday, police, fire and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Hwy. 3 in Lewis Lake. Police located two severely damaged vehicles involved in the collision, a pick-up truck and a garbage truck.
The driver of the pick-up truck was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries, the passenger of the pick-up truck was taken to hospital by EHS for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the garbage truck was treated at the scene by EHS.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the road was closed for a number of hours.
The investigation is ongoing.
