NS SPCA Adoptable Highlight – Ron

Please consider Ron as your new companion. Despite his rough start in life he has shown so much improvement with us and would love to find a home of his own. He has made new friends with staff and volunteers and loves the belly rubs and treats he receives from them. We understand that dogs like Ron, that have missed out on some of the early developmental stages can be challenging but Ron has shown us that he is up to the challenge and just needs to find the right person to partner with to let the last of his guard down and fully be a “regular” dog.

Ron is an approximately 3-year-old collie mix (20 kg). Coming from the situation noted above, Ron is initially very shy with new people but absolutely explodes into his goofy personality when given some time. Ron walks well on a leash and would like to have a new companion that would take him on long hikes followed by lots of snuggling. A fenced in back yard would be ideal for him to run out his “zoomies” and play with some toys. Ron also requires to be the only animal in the home so he can have all of the attention on him.
