Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred in Dartmouth last month.

On October 17 at approximately 8 p.m. police responded to a call involving a vehicle that had struck a man who was crossing in a marked crosswalk in the 300 block of Windmill Road. The driver of the vehicle initially stopped and got out of his vehicle, but he then left the area without speaking to the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle is described as a small, four door dark grey sedan that is possibly a Honda or Toyota. The driver is described as a Black man in his 30s with buzz cut style hair. He was wearing a grey shirt at the time.​
