Police investigate two break and enters, arrest one, in Halifax

Police Investigate Break & Enter and Arrest Suspect

At 2:47 a.m., on the 13th of October, Halifax Regional Police and a Police Service Dog responded to a report of a Break & Enter in progress at the Canadian Tire gas station, 6551 Bayers Road, Halifax.

Upon arrival officers confirmed the door to the gas station was damaged and observed a male running from the business.​ Officers with a Police Service Dog apprehended suspect a short distance away.​ The suspect sustained minor injuries when bitten by the Police Service Dog.​

A 20-year-old male from Halifax is held for court and is facing the following Criminal Code charges; Attempted Break & Enter, Resist Arrest, Assault Peace Officer and Breaching Conditions.

Police Investigate Break & Enter

2:57 a.m. on the 13th of October, Halifax Regional Police responded to a Break & Enter at Dugger’s Mens Wear, 5409 Spring Garden Road Halifax.​ Multiple officers responded and discovered the doors were forced open.​The suspect fled prior to police arrival and left with an unknown number of clothing items. No one was injured.​ Patrol officers searched the area, but have not located the suspect.​ There is no suspect description at this time.​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​
