Lunenburg District RCMP investigating collision on Hwy. 3
Lunenburg District RCMP is investigating after a motorcycle collision on Hwy. 3 in Spectacle Lake.
At approximately 9 a.m. yesterday morning, police were dispatched to a complaint of a motorcycle collision on Hwy. 3. Police learned that a motorcycle had been travelling north on Hwy. 3 when it left the roadway and struck a guardrail. The motorcycle rider, a 16-year-old youth, was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered life-threatening injuries. The rider was transported to hospital via Lifeflight.
Hwy. 3 was shut down for approximately two hours will investigators gathered evidence at the scene. The motorcycle was seized for further investigation and inspection. The investigation is continuing and is being led by the Lunenburg District RCMP.
