Police respond to a series of overnight Commercial Break and Enters

11:57 P.M. July 21, 2021, Patrol officers responded to 1646 Barrington Street in Halifax – LA Convenience Store. A suspect described as a white male, 5’10” – 6’, slim, 35-40 years of age wearing a hoodie, dark pants and baseball cap was seen in the Barrington Street area yelling and carrying a stick resembling a broom handle.

He was seen by several people swinging the stick and yelling, just prior to smashing the stores front glass door and making entry damaging the interior of the store as well. A quantity of cigarettes as well as lottery tickets and cash were taken.

A Forensic Identification officer collected evidence onscene. A suspect has not been located.

1:29 A.M. July 22, 2021, Patrol officers responded to 4 Gaston Road in Dartmouth – Geebo Device Repair. A suspect described only as a white female was seen on store video breaking into the front entry of the store. The suspect proceeds to smash a display case and take several cell phones.

A K-9 officer along with Patrol Officers attended the scene and located evidence from the crime scene. A suspect was not located.

3:42 A.M. July 22, 2021, Patrol officers while conducting community business checks in downtown Halifax noted that a business at 5110 Prince Street Halifax, Strange Adventures, had the front door smashed and entry gained. This matter is in the very early stages of investigation. It has not yet been determined if anything was stolen and or suspect descriptions.
