Lost Hiker found – Porters Lake
Saturday night (July 17, 2021), after 10:00 p.m., Musquodoboit Harbour RCMP received a report of a lost hiker on the Crowbar Hiking trails off Myra Road in Porters Lake.
The hiker, a 30 year-old Halifax man, had lost power to his cell phone by the time police received the call from a relative.
RCMP activated the Halifax Ground Search and Rescue Team, who located the man in good health shortly after midnight (July 18, 2021).

Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – Prospect Bay, NS
A 59 year-old woman is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose after Tantallon RCMP were called to a dispute in Prospect Bay.
The woman was reported to be carrying a firearm while confronting a neighbour in relation to loud music coming from a residence in Prospect Bay.
RCMP located the intoxicated woman outside her own residence and arrested her without incident. They also seized the weapon, which turned out to be a pellet-gun with a scope.
